You’ve been told to post every day, start a podcast, go live, write a newsletter, and be on four platforms. You’ve tried some of it. Mostly you’re tired.

Marketing that lasts is simpler than that.

One main channel

Pick the one place your clients already spend time and where you can show up without dread. Do it properly for three months before you judge it.

One way to stay in touch

Most people won’t buy the first time they hear from you. An email list keeps the conversation going on your terms. A short, honest email every week or fortnight is enough.

Email providers have tightened their rules on bulk senders. Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo have required bulk senders to authenticate their email (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and offer one-click unsubscribe. Check your email tool is set up correctly so your messages land.

One clear offer

People can’t say yes to something vague. Every piece of marketing should lead, gently, to one thing you’d like them to do next.

Search is changing

More people now get answers from AI summaries and assistants before they click a website. In a 2025 Pew Research Center study, Google users clicked a result link on 8% of visits when an AI summary appeared, compared with 15% when it didn’t. Clear, specific pages that answer real questions, in your own words, still do well.

A simple weekly rhythm

  • one useful post on your main channel
  • one email
  • one real conversation with a past client, a contact or a referrer

That’s three actions a week. Do them consistently and they’ll do more than a frantic month.

If you’d like a 90-day marketing plan built around your week, book a Freedom By Design Strategy Session (£397).
